Dot NAME Domain Names

Established in 2001, the .NAME top-level extension is the sole TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are famous by. Initially, just 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to register john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already grabbed third-level names remained online.

You will have the chance to correct the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our company if you have its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registration service provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. There are no special terms on who can book a dot NAME domain, but in order to keep the objective behind its establishment alive, the Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
